LEO Bags:
882 - K9 Bags: 16
Bagging Day: Saturday, July 24, 2021
Delivery Day: Saturday, July 24, 2021
When we announced we
would be completing our LEO bags for Yavapai
County, Penny, one of our very
generous group members reached out to the
Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary in Prescott.
They did not
hesitate to invite us up to hold our bagging
event - and delivery right from Prescott!
The week before the bagging and delivery
literally drenched the area in monsoon storms!
However, we prayed on it,
and that morning, we were blessed with cloudy
skies - and no rain. Group members met up at the
Sanctuary at 8:45 AM, and
started bagging. In order to easily coordinate
our deliveries and make sure we were finished in
1 day, we had
multiple drivers heading out as we completed the
department bags.
Penny and Theresa headed up to Chino Valley,
while Cindy visited Sedona. One of our members,
Kandee, and her sister, Cindee,
experienced their first deliveries, tackling
Jerome, Cottonwood, Campe Verde and the
Marshal's Office along with Katie and
Marilyn. Melissa, Casey, and their grand-kids
delivered over to Prescott Valley PD, and then
headed back to the Zoo
so they could refill their truck with more bags
to help us complete deliveries to Yavapai County
Sheriff's Office,
the Prescott PD, and the Yavapai-Prescott Tribe.
The rain held out for us - God is good! It
wasn't until we left Prescott
that the heavens opened up and showed us exactly
what a monsoon storm is like.
Our police departments were fantastic, they were
welcoming, and the swag they gave to the kids
who accompanied us? Stuffed toys, trucks, cars,
patches, stickers, coloring books, pens, and
more!
